Ashish Vidyarthi's former wife, Piloo Vidyarthi, who recently appeared in Sarzameen alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan, Kajol, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, expressed her disappointment over 20% of her scenes being cut from the film. She added that, as actors, especially in supporting roles, they often don’t have the right to question the decisions made by the filmmakers.

Piloo Vidyarthi Disappointed Over Her Scenes Being Cut In Sarzameen

Speaking to News 18, Piloo said, "Beech mein main phas gayi hoon, na Sar hain na Zameen hain. The actress shared that the project began with great promise. After a detailed narration and look test, she shot extensively in Manali and Mumbai, portraying a nanny-like character, similar to Farida Jalal’s role in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, who was pivotal to the child's emotional journey. However, upon seeing the final film, she realised the makers had gone wrong somewhere, as the director struggled to piece together a narrative.

'I Was Not Used At All': Piloo Vidyarthi

Piloo said that the makers didn't retain even 20 percent of what was shot, leaving her disappointed, which is why she chose not to promote the film. "I wasn’t used at all. These things happen in our journey, so that’s okay. But yes, it’s disappointing when you prepare for a role and it’s reduced to nothing," she admitted.

'Ibrahim Ali Khan Needs To Have Some Depth': Piloo

Piloo also spoke about her experience working with Ibrahim Ali Khan in Sarzameen, who has faced trolling for his acting since his debut in Nadaaniyan. To which, she said. "Acting depends on your life experiences, how you have lived your life," she reflected. “He was very nice to me, clicked photos. But I think he needs to have some depth. Star kids are also under a lot of pressure to live up to their parents. And Ibrahim comes from a family of big achievers."

"They have seen attention since forever. No one is bad," added Piloo.
