Bollywood actor Bobby Deol recently opened up about watching Mohit Suri's romantic drama Saiyaara, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. Having known Ahaan since his childhood, Bobby revealed during one of his recent interviews that the film felt personal to him.

He recalled childhood memories of Ahaan in a Spider-Man costume, showing his early energy. During a conversation with Faridoon Shahryar, the actor said, "I loved Saiyaara. I was so happy because Ahaan grew up right in front of me. I remember the days when he was little, wearing a Spider-Man outfit, always hitting a punching bag… He's been energetic since childhood."

Noting how personal Saiyaara felt to him, as though it was his own child's debut, Bobby stated, "Ahaan waited for eight years almost for Saiyaara to be released. Even how this film came to him is an amazing story. I was really happy. It felt like my own child's film had been released, and it became such a big hit. It felt so nice."

Opening up about getting emotional while watching the film, he said, "I cried so much while watching that film; it's such an emotional story. Mohit Suri (director) has done such a great job. Saiyaara is a director's film, but he got great actors to play the characters. Both Ahaan and Aneet were so interesting to watch. The way Mohit weaved the screenplay, built the story, the music… everything aligned perfectly, and such things happen very rarely."

Bobby also revealed what advice he gave Ahaan. "I only told Ahaan to just be foccused and work hard, and to pray, wish, and manifest that he gets characters and projects which are interesting."

Saiyaara - A box office sensation

Directed by Mohit and produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara released on July 18 and has since become one of the highest-grossing films of the year. The film has earned over Rs 308.45 crore in India, breaking several box office records in the process.

Starring Aneet Padda and Ahaan in the lead, the film has struck a chord with audiences and is being praised for the actors' performances, music, and emotional plot. The film also stars Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola and others.
