Rajshri Productions' first OTT series titled Bada Naam Karenge has started streaming on Sony LIV, and it has received a very good response from the critics and the audiences. The showrunner is Sooraj Barjatya, and the it is directed by Palash Vaswani who had earlier helmed Gullak season 2 and 3. Free Press Journal spoke to Palash recently, and while talking to him, we spoke about the recent controversy about Ranveer Allahbadia's statement on the show India's Got Latent.

When asked Palash what he has to say about the content that's being shown on YouTube and the controversy surrounding Ranveer's comment, the director said, "Freedom of speech comes with a responsibility, I believe in that. Are you doing these things for eyeballs? I haven't seen the video, but I know. If you are an influencer, the meaning of an influencer is that you are influencing people around you, then there has to be some responsibility."

He further added, "I am no one to comment on anyone, but if I am making a film and which is targeting certain audience, like I am making a film for kids and family audience, then my messaging has to be correct. They should not take anything wrong from it. That's what I have worked on in my previous shows and Bada Naam Karenge as well."

Further talking about how digital media is overpowering people, Palash said, "We are living in an age where we have overboard of information. These kind of comments might be happening earlier also, but at that time we didn't have phone so that we can see it. It might have come in newspaper which half of us wouldn't read it. Now, we come to know eveything that's happening in every corner. So, we also need segregate, and it is imporant to keep yourself a bit away from digital media. It should not over power on you."

Talking about Bada Naam Karenge, the show started streaming on Sony LIV from February 7, 2025. People surely had high expectations from it as Rajshri was entering the digital space with it. But, it is getting a good response.
