Janhvi Kapoor made her Cannes debut this year. While many celebs go there to promote brands, Janhvi went there for the premiere of her movie Homebound which also stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa. Well, the actress' red carpet looks have been grabbing everyone's attention, and her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya's mother Smruti Shinde also took to Instagram to give a shout out to the actress.

Janhvi Kapoor On Attending Cannes Film Festival
In a video shared by Vogue India, Janhvi stated that she feels weird to be at Cannes. The actress revealed, “You know this place was my mom’s favourite place to come to for a holiday. We spent 3-4 consecutive summers here."
“We are back in Cannes. My dad (Boney Kapoor) and Khushi are with me. It is weird coming back here without her and especially because she always took me to her big moments. I miss her a lot,” she added.
Homebound Gets Standing Ovation At Cannes 2025
Homebound, which is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and produced by Karan Johar, received a 9-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival. The video of the same has gone viral on social media, and we can see that Janhvi, Neeraj, Vishal, Karan, and Ishaan get very emotional after the film's screening.
Homebound Release Date
The official release date of Homebound is not yet announced. But, we are expecting that it will hit the big screens this year, and after this reaction at Cannes, we are sure the audience will be quite excited to watch the film.
