Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in the lead, witnessed a slight jump at the box office on Saturday, its second day. Despite competition from Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardaar 2, the film stood its ground and earned Rs 3.75 crore on Day 2.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhadak 2's total box office collection now stands at Rs 7.25 crore. The film opened with a decent Rs 3.50 crore on Friday as it clashed with Son Of Sardaar 2.
Dhadak 2 has received mixed responses from the audience, and it has been picking up momentum due to positive word of mouth. On Saturday, the film started off on a slower note, but it picked up as the day passed, and the night shows had the highest occupancy in theatres throughout the day at 36.88 per cent.
The film's maximum revenue is being generated from Mumbai, Delhi and other regions of the northern belt, as the South is dominated by Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom.

About Dhadak 2
A spiritual successor to the 2018 film, Dhadak, this time Dhadak 2 sheds light on caste discrimination which is still existent in the Indian society. A boy from a backward caste falls in love with a Brahmin girl, while also harbouring dreams of being a lawyer despite facing challenges in the casteist society, and this forms the crux of the story.
Dhadak 2 was supposed to release earlier this year, however, it was not passed by the Censor Board over several casteist references. After reaching a middle-ground, the makers finally managed to release the film on August 1.
The film also stars Saurabh Sachdeva, Vipin Sharma, and others in key roles, and it has been directed by Shazia Iqbal.
