Aamir Khan's brother, actor Faisal Khan, has officially announced that he is cutting all ties with his family after years of painful experiences. This decision follows his allegations that they called him 'mad,' diagnosed him with schizophrenia, forced him to take medication, and that Aamir locked him inside the house for an entire year. While the family denied these claims, calling them 'misinterpreted' and expressing hurt, Faisal has now made it clear that he no longer wishes to remain connected to them, citing abuse dating back to 2005.

Faisal shared a statement with Bollywood Bubble, which read: "I, Faissal Khan, have from the date here of severed al I ties, familial, as well as, in estate, with my family members, the names whereof are more particularly described in the Schedule hereunder written. Faisal Khan Refuses Monthly Allowance From Aamir Khan
His statement further mentioned that he will neither reside in Aamir’s house nor claim any monthly allowance or maintenance from him.
In 2007, Faisal claimed that his family tried to force him to give up his signatory rights. When he resisted and left home, his mother Zeenat Tahir Hussain and elder sister Nikhat Hegde allegedly made false allegations that he was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia and posed a danger to society. The matter went to court and, after 5 months of hearings, the final judgment in February 2008 ruled in Faisal’s favour.
Faisal Khan Accuses Family Of Jeopardising Career & Creating Havoc
Faisal accused his family of once again conspiring against him and defaming him by publishing false statements in print and on social media in August 2025, alleging that he was misleading and misrepresenting facts. He countered that, in reality, it was his family members who had been responsible for jeopardising his career and creating havoc in his personal and professional life since 2005.
