Singer Adnan Sami paid tribute to India by wearing a customised tricolour ear monitor. He took to his official social media account recently to give a glimpse of his new ear monitor. For those unversed, ear monitor is a device custom-fitted to an individual's ears. It is used to receive vocal instructions and information and singers mostly use it during live concerts and performances.
Soon after Adnan Sami shared pictures of his tricolour ear monitor, he was trolled by a section of X (formerly known as Twitter) users. On Saturday (May 24), he also gave a befitting reply to a Pakistani user who abused him and mocked him over the customised ear monitor.
"Just received my customised ‘In Ear Monitors’ from @UltimateEarsPro in USA for my live concerts! These are my 2nd pair & they sound incredible…They made this design with the Indian flag especially upon my request," the Lift Kara De singer shared on X in the wee hours of Saturday.
Reacting to his post, the Pakistani user commented, "Heheh ch****a. This is what you are supposed to do to prove your loyalty to Endia."
This singer was in no mood to ignore the troll. He replied, "At least I’m expressing my love & emotions for my country which all normal citizens do. You, on the other hand have to not only swear allegiance to your Army but have to spend all your lives being their whipped Bitch."
The Tera Chehra singer, who earlier held a Pakistani citizenship, came to India in 2001, and after a successful career in the country, he finally gave up the Pakistani passport and got an Indian citizenship in 2016.
Recently, he was in news after several netizens labelled him as a "Pakistani agent" post the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, that killed 26 people. Firing back with sarcasm, he wrote, "Haan… Abhi unkareeb woh dhamaakedaar information aapko udthi hui aaee gi!! Aapko Lift Karade gi!! Enjoy (sic)."
In the past, Sami had threatened to "expose" Pakistan on multiple occasions and he had also alleged injustice towards him by the authorities of the neighbouring country.
When people accused him of moving to India due to financial gains, he had clarified, stating, "I’m a musician, not a politician."
He had also once revealed that his Indian citizenship application was rejected twice before it was finally approved in 2016.
