Fawad Khan is all set to make his Bollywood comeback with the film Abir Gulaal which also stars Vaani Kapoor in the lead role. After the Uri attack in 2016, political parties banned Pakistani artists from working in India. However, in 2023, Supreme Court dismissed a plea seeking a ban on Pakistani artists from working in India. Last year, Abir Gulaal was announced, and Indian fans of Fawad Khan are super excited about the film. However, Kamaal R Khan claims that some Pakistani people have invested in the movie.

Because some Pakistani people have invested to make this film of Pakistan actor #Fawadkhan! It’s releasing on 9th May! (sic)”
On Tuesday, the makers shared a short promo of Abir Gulaal and announced its release date. The romantic film will hit the big screens on May 9, 2025. Vaani Kapoor posted on her social media, “The wait is over! Bringing love back to the big screen with Abir Gulaal and Fawad Khan. A Richer lens film @aricherlens_ . See you in the cinemas on 9th May!”
Who is The Producer Of Abir Gulaal?
Abir Gulaal is directed by Aarti S. Bagdi and produced by Vivek Agrawal under his banner A Richer Lens Entertainment. He has earlier co-produced multiple films like Queen, Bombay Velvet, Udta Punjab, Super 30, and others when he was with Phantom Films and Reliance Entertainment.
In 2011, Agrawal produced Land Gold Women which was directed by his wife Avantika Hari. The movie had won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in English.
