UGC NET 2025: AESI General Secretary Demands Review Of English Paper For Vague, Out-Of-Syllabus Questions

Lucknow: Prof. Vikas Sharma, General Secretary of the Association for English Studies of India (AESI), has urged the Education Ministry and UGC to review the UGC NET English exam held on June 27.

He criticized the paper as vague, obscure, and beyond standard curricula, citing irrelevant questions from little-known texts. Prof. Sharma called for a clear, updated syllabus and accountability in paper setting.

He emphasized that fairness and transparency are vital to uphold the exam’s credibility and to support the academic future of thousands of aspirants.
