In a major initiative to provide employment opportunities to candidates who clear recruitment exams but fail to make it in the final merit list, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has introduced a new Disclosure Scheme to provide selected personal and educational information of non-recommended candidates to potential employers.
Initiative to Assist Recruiters and Public Sector Organisations
The initiative aligns with the Government of India's guidelines to maintain a public database of deserving candidates who fall short in the final selection. The database is meant to enable other recruiting organisations like Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), autonomous institutions, and other government-associated organisations to spot employable talent.
Details to Be Disclosed
The SSC will release details of non-recommended candidates who have appeared for the final stage of any exam, beginning from the results announced in November 2024. The details will be made available on the official website of the Commission and can be included with a special portal designed by the Government.
The details below will be released, segregated by roll number:
-Name of the Candidate
-Father's/Husband's Name
-Date of Birth
-Category (Gen/SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH/Minority)
-Gender
-Educational Qualifications
-Total Marks Secured
-Merit Ranking
-Postal Address
-E-mail Address
Option to Opt-Out by Candidates
In the interest of privacy, candidates will be offered the option to opt out of this disclosure when sending in their application. Only those who agree will have their information made public.
Validity and Extent of the Disclosure
-The information disclosed will remain effective for one year from the date of publication.
-The scheme is not applicable to Selection Post Examinations.
-The Commission will disclose information only for double the number of vacancies in any examination.
Advisory for Candidates
Candidates are advised to keep their application forms and documents with them for three years, as they may be contacted by other recruiting agencies in reference to this disclosure.
