Khan Sir, a popular educator and YouTuber, celebrated Raksha Bandhan 2025 in Patna in an extraordinary way, as over 15,000 girl students tied rakhis on his wrist during a grand function that has now gone viral on social media.
The celebration was organised at the SK Memorial Hall in Patna, where huge numbers of female students, most of whom were away from home, came together to celebrate the day with the teacher they lovingly refer to as a brother.
Khan Sir, widely admired for his affordable and accessible method of teaching, is also loved for his emotional connection with students. At the event, he stated, “It is my good fortune that my students tie rakhi. We have to protect our rich culture. Raksha Bandhan is a festival for brother and sister. And this thread denotes the bond and affection,” as reported by news agency PTI.
Photos and videos from the occasion depict Khan Sir's arms full of colorful rakhis. In order to make the occasion special, Khan Sir made sure that there was a celebratory atmosphere. Khan Sir disclosed that 156 varieties of dishes were made for the festival, as a token of love and gratitude towards the students who traveled from different states to celebrate.
This is not the first time Khan Sir has celebrated Raksha Bandhan in this big way. Each year, he organises the same, transforming his coaching center into a place not only for education but for cultural bonding and emotional support. Social media was filled with videos of the emotional scenes, with people praising Khan Sir's humility and the depth of bond he shared with students.
