The Consortium of National Law Universities will start the registration procedure for the Common Law Admission Test, or CLAT 2026, on August 1. Aspirants can start enrolling for the CLAT UG and CLAT PG via the Consortium's official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The official notice reads, “The portal for applying for the CLAT 2026 will become functional from the 1st of August 2025 and will remain so until 31st October 2025, the last date of application for CLAT 2026.”

3. Exam Date: 7th December 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm
CLAT 2026: How to apply?
To register for CLAT 2026, candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Consortium at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the CLAT UG or PG exam page (as required) and then click on the registration link.
Step 3: After this, enter the necessary information to finish the registration process and then login.
Step 4: Now, fill out the application form, upload the necessary documents and make the payment.
Step 5: Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
Step 6: Take a printout of the same for further reference.
CLAT 2026: Application fees
The application fee structure is as follows:
1. General, OBC, PwD, NRI, PIO, and OCI candidates need to pay Rs 4,000 (without question papers) and Rs 4,500 (with question papers).
2. SC, ST, and BPL applicants need to make the payment of Rs 3,500 (without question papers) and Rs 4,000 (with question papers).
CLAT 2026: Documents required
The documents required for the registration window are class 10 and 12 marksheets, Identity/address proof (Aadhaar, PAN, or Driving License), State domicile certificate (if applicable), Caste/category certificate (SC/ST/OBC), and PwD or BPL certificate from a competent authority.
