Key Highlights:

- Rs 2,000 under the 20th PM Kisan installment may be released on August 2.

- Only farmers who have completed e-KYC and land verification will get the payment.

- Delay may be due to pending documentation or verification issues.

New Delhi: If you are a registered farmer under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan), you may receive your 20th installment of Rs 2,000 soon.

So far, the government has given 19 installments to farmers. Every four months, Rs 2,000 is directly sent to the registered farmers' bank accounts. The last installment was released in February 2025.

When will the next Rs 2,000 come?

Farmers across the country are waiting for the 20th PM Kisan installment, but no official date has been announced yet. According to media reports, August 2 could be the likely date when the amount is released.

This is because PM Modi is expected to visit Varanasi on August 2 for a major event where Rs 1,000 crore projects will be announced for Uttar Pradesh. It is expected that the PM Kisan payment may also be launched on the same day.

Who will get the benefit?

Not all farmers will receive the 20th installment. Only those who have completed the required steps are eligible:

e-KYC is completed

Land verification is done

Bank account is linked with Aadhaar

Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) service is active

If any of these are not done, the installment may be delayed or not received at all.

Why your installment may get delayed

Here are some common reasons why the installment might get stuck:

e-KYC is not completed

Land records are not verified

Bank account is not linked with Aadhaar

DBT facility is not active in your account

So make sure all the documents and verifications are completed well in advance.

What is the PM Kisan Scheme?

This scheme was launched in 2019 to support farmers financially.

Under this plan:

Rs 6,000 is given every year

Paid in three installments of Rs 2,000

Amount is directly transferred to farmers' bank accounts

How to check your beneficiary status

To see if your name is in the PM Kisan list:

- Visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in

- Click on "Know Your Status"

- Enter your registration number or Aadhaar number

Why is there a delay this time?

Usually, the installment is paid every four months. The last one came in February, so the next was expected in June. But since July is ending and no payment has arrived yet, all eyes are now on August 2.

Until the official confirmation is made, farmers are advised to regularly check the website for updates.
