Indore/ Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two deaths, over a dozen injured people and a stamped could not stop people from visiting Kubereshwar Dham in Sehore on Wednesday.
Over 2.5 lakh devotees from across the states attended Pandit Pradeep Mishra's grand Kanwar Yatra. The yatra started from the banks of the Siwan River, with pomp and show with devotees chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev' and swaying to dhol beats.
Flower petals were showered from a helicopter as a mark of devotion and glorious celebration.

Due to the massive crowd, a long traffic jam was reported on the Indore-Bhopal highway late Tuesday night.
However, even if roads are extremely congested, devotees were still immersed in devotion and found the Yatra ‘joyful.’

‘It’s about carrying Lord Mahadev in hearts’
Speaking to the media, Pandit Pradeep Mishra said, “According to the Shiv Puran, during the month of Shravan, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati reside on Earth. Worship, fasting, and service in this month bring special blessings. In this Kaliyug, this is a sign of the return of Shiva’s era.”

Informing further about the scenario at Kubereshwar Dham at present, Pandit Mishra’s official X handle said, “ On the sacred Pradosh of the holy month of Sawan, thousands and lakhs of Shiva devotees are filling their Kanwars with Ganga water from the blessed banks of the Siwan River…. This divine journey isn’t just about carrying sacred water - it’s about carrying Lord Mahadev in their hearts.”
The devotees further said that the crowd is so massive that there’s no space to even stand properly. The vehicles are packed with people, making it hard to breathe. But after reaching here and getting darshan at Kubreshwar Dham, they feel blessed.
