Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav released the June installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana from Belkheda in Jabalpur on Monday. 

Over ₹1,551.44 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 1.27 crore women under the scheme. Also, more than ₹341 crore was transferred to pension beneficiaries.

CM announces Rakhi gifts

He announced an additional ₹250 will be transferred to the accounts of Ladli Behna as a festive gift for Raksha Bandhan next month.

During the program, the CM also made several key announcements for Belkheda, including the opening of a new college, a revenue office, and residential facilities for officials.

Development projects worth ₹22.44 cr inaugurated

Addressing the crowd, CM Yadav said, “No one says ‘America Mata ki Jai’ or ‘England Mata ki Jai.’ But India is the only country where we proudly say ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai.’ The blessings of sisters make life meaningful. Our country has always celebrated women’s power for thousands of years.”

On a lighter note, the CM expressed desires to build a house in Jabalpur as he has visited the city many times. 

The Chief Minister inaugurated and performed bhumi-pujan for development works worth ₹22.44 crore in Jabalpur. This included the inauguration of 5 projects worth ₹15.09 crore and the foundation stone laying of 3 projects worth ₹7.43 crore. The event was earlier scheduled for June 13 but was postponed due to a plane crash in Ahmedabad.

Key leaders including MP Ashish Dubey, MLAs Neeraj Singh and Ashok Rohani, former MLA Pratibha Singh, Collector Deepak Saxena, and SP Sampat Upadhyay were also present at the event.
