Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): With just the beginning of the monsoon season, several reservoirs and dams in Madhya Pradesh are already nearing or touching brim levels. Intermittent to moderate rainfall over the past two days, especially in the eastern region of the state, has led to a surge in the water levels of many dams and reservoirs. A few dams in the western region have also recorded good rainfall in their catchment areas, resulting in a rise in water levels, however they are still far from the halfway mark.

This early surge suggests a promising monsoon season ahead with most reservoirs expected to fill up adequately in the coming weeks.
