Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Two men including a Patwari and his friend were reportedly found dead under suspicious circumstances on Friday morning in Chattarpur.
According to reports, the incident unfolded in Surajpura village under Bamitha police station area of the district, where both had gone to the field on Thursday evening as usual. The next day both their bodies were found in the field. Police has started investigating the matter.
The deceased have been identified as Pran Singh (50), and his friend Chhannu Yadav, (45). Patwari Pran Singh was posted in Umaria Halka of Rajnagar tehsil. He is also the husband of former District Panchayat President Parvati Adivasi.
According to the family members they were trying to contact both of them since Thursday night, but both their phones were switched off. However, due to harsh weather conditions, a search could not be launched immediately.
The FSL team has been called to investigate evidence
On Friday morning, when relatives and family reached the field, Singh was found lying unconscious. The family immediately rushed them to the district hospital, where the doctor declared him dead on arrival.
After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and also recovered the body of Chhannu Yadav from the farm. The FSL team has been called at the scene to investigate evidences.

Burn marks and black spots on body
According to Patwari Singh's son Kamlesh, there were black marks on the neck of the deceased Pran Singh, while Chhannulal Yadav is said to have burn marks blood marks on his body.
This indicates signs of assault and murder. The family members demand a thorough investigation in the matter. According to family members, Singh was being harassed administratively and politically as well. He was transferred 3 times in 1 year.
Bamitha police station in-charge Ashutosh Shruti said that the FSL team has been called at the scene of the incident. The bodies of both have been found in a house under-construction on the farm. The allegations made by the victim's side are being investigated closely.
