Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Just 3,600 more followers have joined the ‘X’ social media platforms of the BJP’s state president, Hemant Khandelwal, in 20 days since he took over as the party’s state chief.
Before he became the party’s state president, he had 6,000 followers on ‘X’ social media platform. Now, the number has increased to 9,600. Thus, just 3,600 new followers have joined his ‘X’ social media platform.
The BJP has claimed it has more than 1.50 crore general members. Similarly, the party has one lakh active members.
Since the number of followers has not increased, it indicates that the members of the party are not following their state president on social media.
The number of followers on social media has become very important for the BJP.
During his trip to Bhopal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to know from party leaders how many of them had more than one crore followers on social media platforms.
The party’s IT team is being activated to increase the number of followers of Khandelwal on social media platforms.

Khandelwal has 1.20 lakh followers on his Facebook and 45,000 followers on Instagram. Before becoming the party’s state president, Khandelwal was not very active on social media.
But after becoming the president of the party’s state unit, he has become more active on social. For him, increasing the number of followers on social media is as challenging as handling other issues of the party.
Shivraj is ahead, Kailash just behind him
Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is ahead of other MP leaders in terms of number of followers on social media. He has over 95 lakh followers, followed by Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya with 20 lakh.
On the other hand, former minister Narottam Mishra has 7.72 lakh followers, and Chief Minister Mohan has 4.37 lakh followers.
