Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Outings with family, enjoying street food, gyming, watching cricket, playing football and listening to songs were among the stress-busters of the city toppers in the NEET UG 2025. The results were announced by National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday. Excerpts of what they said.
Want to study in AIIMS
Aagam Jain (AIR 45) said, "This was my first attempt. I was expecting 700 out of 720 marks. But I got 656. It’s okay. I used to study for three-four hours daily. As the exam drew closer, I extended my study period to eight hours. I used to watch cricket on TV and gymming to burn stress. I am from Damoh, where my parents Dr Sachin Jain and Dr Ritu Jain are ophthalmologists. They run a hospital in Damoh. I stayed in Bhopal for two years to study at a coaching institute. My success mantra is dedication, consistency and hard work. I was not on any social media platform. I think that social media is nothing except a waste of time. I want to join AIIMS, Delhi for my MBBS. It is my dream college. My parents did not ask me to take NEET and become a doctor. It just happened. If I did not take NEET, I would have joined an IIT."

Family support biggest asset
Saumya Tiwari (AIR 506) said, "I have scored 616 out of 720 marks. I did not have any expectations. I gave my 100 per cent and that’s it. My mother passed away in 2020. I live with my Mausi (aunt), who is a civil engineer and an architect. My family’s support was my biggest asset. The atmosphere at my home helped me to crack the exam. An outing with my family was my stress buster. We would go out and enjoy some street food. I am not on social media. I want to join the civil services. I have also taken the JEE. I am yet to decide which course I would like to join."

Played football
Thakur Aryaman Singh (AIR 568) said, "Hard work and consistency are my success mantras. It was my first attempt. I used to dedicate six to eight hours daily for self study. I used to play football and listen to songs to burn stress. I was expecting a rank under 500. I have not been using social media for two years for preparations. My father Thakur Umanath Singh works in BHEL and my mother Monika Singh is a homemaker. AIIMS, Bhopal, is my preference but I will have to wait till counselling."
