Woman Doctor Found Dead In Gwalior’s GRMC Hostel

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 31-year-old woman doctor pursuing her Doctorate in Medicine (DM) in Neurology at Gajra Raja Medical College (GRMC), Gwalior, was found hanging in her hostel room on Saturday night. Kampoo police station in-charge Rudra Pathak said that Dr. Rekha Raghuvanshi, a native of Ashoknagar district, allegedly committed suicide. No suicide note was recovered from the scene.

Police were alerted by hostel authorities late on Saturday, following which they found the doctor's body in her room. Her mobile phone has been taken for investigation, and her body has been sent for post-mortem.

The deceased’s brother, Rohit Raghuvanshi, told reporters that he spoke to her two days ago, but she did not indicate any distress. She had attended work on Saturday before taking the extreme step at night. Dr. Raghuvanshi was in the second year of her DM super-specialization. Police are probing the circumstances surrounding her death.

26-Yr-Old Files Rape Plaint, Accused On The Run

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 26-year-old woman filed a c complaint of rape on late Saturday night accusing Lalit Rajput of exploiting her on the pretext of marriage, Piplani police said here on Sunday. According to the police, the woman said Rajput, an employee at an IT company, lured her into a physical relationship while promising to marry her.

Their relationship continued for nearly two years. They first met on a matrimonial site and their relationship grew into frequent meeting. The alleged incident began in April 2023, when the two met at a hotel, resulting in a series of intimate meetings.

When asked about future plans, the woman alleged that Rajput repeatedly backed out, providing reasons. Frustrated by his behaviour, the woman visited Piplani police station on Saturday and filed a complaint against the accused.

Police station incharge Anurag Lal stated that an FIR had been registered. The accused is still at large, and authorities are seeking to gather new evidence to catch him.

Retired BHEL Officer Loses Rs 1.65 Lakh

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A retired BHEL officer was defrauded of Rs 1.65 lakh a month ago while attempting to cancel a subscription to a music app, falling prey to a cyber scam. According to police, Vijay Kumar Farge is a retired BHEL officer.

Last month, he discovered that money was being deducted from his bank account each month. When he couldn't find a way to stop the payments within the app, he searched for company's contact number on Google. This led him to a fake website where a cyber fraudster offered assistance.

Unaware of the risks, Farge downloaded the file, giving the scammer access to his phone. The fraudster then removed Rs 88,000 from Farge's bank account and Rs 77,000 from his wife's account. Farge reported the event to police after realising it was a hoax. Kamlanagar police, after month-long inquiry, filed a case on Saturday.
