Man Ends Life After Feud With Friend
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man took his own life by consuming poison late Friday night following a dispute with his female friend, Aishbagh police said on Saturday. The deceased, Shakir Ali, aged 30, resided in Ahmad Ali Colony and worked in auto dealing near Bharat Talkies, consumed poison on Friday evening and died early Saturday morning despite receiving medical treatment at Hamidia Hospital.
After postmortem in the afternoon, his body was handed over to his family. Family statements to police revealed that Shakir returned home drunk on Friday evening after consuming poison. After beginning to vomit, his father, Rahbar Ali, approached him with concern. Shakir requested, "Call Uzair bhai, my boss from auto-dealing, who will drive me to the hospital."
Following this, Shakir’s father promptly notified Uzair and took Shakir to Hamidia Hospital, where he succumbed to the poison despite hours of treatment. Reports indicate that Shakir had been involved with a girl from the Aishbagh area, who often pressured him over minor issues.
She would threaten to harm herself or cut her wrists if he did not comply with her demands. In a distressing twist, Shakir's family later discovered an audio message on his phone in which a friend of the girl revealed that she had cut her wrist in anger over the situation. Tragically, Rahbar Ali, now mourning his son's death, is also grappling with late-stage cancer.
55-Year-Old Property Dealer Hangs Himself
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The body of a 55-year-old property dealer was found hanging in his rented room in the Trilanga area of the capital city late Friday night, the Shahpura police said here on Saturday. According to the police, the deceased Akhilesh Dubey (55) was originally a resident of Jabalpur.
He was found dead by a neighbour who, on looking through a window saw his body hanging from a rope. On receiving information, the police sent the body for a postmortem examination, which was completed by Saturday afternoon. Later, the body was handed over to Dubey’s family. ASI Kanhaiyalal Yadav said that soon police would record statements of his family members to help ascertain the reason behind the alleged suicide.
