The body of the engineer and builder identified as Kapil Sharma (45) was found in his car with his throat slit at a deserted spot in Pipliya Jahirpir village under Sukhi Sewania police station limit on July 6.
A resident of Bag Sewania, Kapil Sharma was missing from his house since July 3 and his wife Richa had lodged a missing person complaint.
SP (rural) Pramod Kumar Sinha had formed an SIT to investigate the case and had also declared a reward of ₹ 10,000 for cracking the case. Salary hike, harassment as motive
SP Pramod Kumar Sinha said Habibganj resident Deepak Sahu worked as a labourer for the deceased Kapil Sharma who paid him just ₹ 1,500 a month. Despite repeated requests for a raise, Kapil allegedly insulted and abused him. Deepak shared his frustration with his brother-in-law and the two conspired to take revenge.
Accused watched crime shows
Deepak told police that he watched several crime thriller movies and shows before planning the murder of his employer. The accused used gloves while killing Kapil to ensure that their finger prints were not found at the crime scene.
