Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A 'dharna' unfolded at Madhya Pradesh's Sabalgarh SDM office on Wednesday when social worker and ITI worker Dharmendra Chaturvedi aka 'Anna Hazare' reached the public hearing regarding the problems in EWS certificate.
During the public hearing, a heated argument broke out between the social worker and the SDM.
According to eyewitnesses, the SDM, in anger, allegedly used abusive language, threatened him of a 'slap' and even directed the worker to stand outside the office.
After this incident, Dharmendra Chaturvedi alias Anna Hazare sat on a dharna outside the SDM office demanding justice and is chanting Sitaram Ki Ram Dhun. The protest drew crowds and the atmosphere remains sensitive.
Protestor's key demands include, transparency in the EWS certificate process and action against the alleged indecent behavior of the SDM. Along with this, Chaturvedi asked for an assurance of respectful behavior with citizens in public hearings.
Dharmendra Chaturvedi said, "These officials are posing threat to the nation's democracy. They are abusing and threatening to slap when I am just trying to put my points."
"Students in my village were not able to make their EWS certificate, I travelled all the way to represent every one of them and put their problems in front of the administration" he added.
