Madhya Pradesh PCC Chief Jitu Patwari Challenges 2 Separate FIRs At Jabalpur High Court |

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has challenged two separate FIRs registered against him at different police stations in Madhya Pradesh.

At present, the Jabalpur High Court has reserved its decisions on the PCC chief’s request. However, the verdict is expected to be announced soon.

Notably, two different FIRs were registered against Jitu Patwari in 2024, which are now being heard by the court.

During the hearing, Patwari’s lawyer presented arguments in his defense, while lawyers representing the opposing sides also put forth their objections.

First Case:

One of the cases was registered in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua in April 2024. Jeetu Patwari, along with Congress MLA Vikrant Bhuria, visited the house of a 11-year-old tribal rape victim in Jhabua. After the visit, the leaders allegedly shared a picture of the victim on social media, revealing her identity.

This prompted Jhabua police to file a case under the POCSO Act and relevant BNS sections.

According to reports, two boys aged between 14 and 18 from the same village had committed the crime, and a third boy was arrested for helping them escape.

Second Case

The second FIR was registered at Dabra police station in Gwalior in May 2024. A video of Jeetu Patwari went viral on social media, in which he allegedly made an objectionable remark about former minister Imarti Devi.

In the video, Patwari said, “Imarti ji ka ras ab khatam ho chuka hai... Imarti ji has lost her charm... I won't say anything more about her."

Following this, Imarti Devi filed a complaint under the IPC and the SC/ST Act.

The High Court will soon pronounce its decision on whether the FIRs against Patwari should be quashed.
