Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Harassed by musclemen, a man from Ujjain reached the bungalow of state Congress president Jeetu Patwari with his family on Saturday.

The man Nirbhay Singh, who carried a bottle of poison in his hand, said land sharks had grabbed his house and he and his family would commit suicide if it was not restored to him.

The man claimed that instead of helping him, police had registered an FIR against him and were threatening to send him to jail. Jeetu Patwari called the Ujjain district magistrate and said that Nirbhay Singh had made a complaint earlier also.

He said that he had also written a letter to the district magistrate but no action was taken. “The man is now standing with a bottle of poison at my doorstep and immediate action should be taken on his complaint”, Patwari said.
