Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav addressed ministers before cabinet meeting at Mantralaya on Wednesday. During the programme CM announced that financial assistance under the Ladli Behna Yojana will be transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts on July 12.

He further stated that, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan next month in August, an additional ₹ 250 special assistance will be transferred to each beneficiary along with the regular monthly amount.

This will directly benefit approximately 1.27 crore women in the state. CM Dr. Yadav made these announcements while addressing ministers ahead of the Cabinet meeting held at the Mantralaya on Wednesday.

Programmes on Guru Purnima

CM Yadav said Guru Purnima will be celebrated on July 10, with two-day programs in all schools and colleges. District in-charge ministers will participate prominently. Local public representatives, intellectuals, teachers, and saints will also be invited to participate. On this occasion, the Kamla Nehru Sandipani School will be inaugurated in Bhopal.

JNU adopted MP Govt’s initiative

The Chief Minister informed that an innovation initiated by the Government of Madhya Pradesh has been adopted by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi. Inspired by Madhya Pradesh, JNU will now refer Vice-Chancellors as ‘Kulguru’, a term rooted in Indian tradition.

Positive results of removing BRTS

The Chief Minister highlighted the significant positive results of removal of the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS). Referring to a recent report, he noted that this decision has led to a 70% reduction in fatalities and 51% decrease in road accidents.

The decision to remove BRTS was made in January 2024, and its successful implementation reflects the government’s commitment to public welfare.
