Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A three-day religious event to celebrate Guru Purnima began in Bageshwar Dham on Wednesday.
The grand Guru Purnima Mahotsav commenced with Diksha Mantra Ceremony and Charan Paduka Pujan which will be organized for the next three days.
Bageshwar Baba visited Bageshwar Balaji Bhagwan
Earlier today in the morning, Pandit Dhirendra Kumar Shashtri popularly known as Bageshwar Baba visited Bageshwar Balaji Bhagwan and offered his prayers.
Bageshwar Baba places Paduka on his head as a symbolic gesture
Further, he worshiped Sanyasi Baba ji's Paduka (An Indian ancient footwear). In a symbolic gesture, Baba Bageshwar placed the paduka on his head and left Sanyasi Baba's place.
The entire Dham resonated with the flag of Bageshwar Dham on the chariot, drums and enchanted slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram'.

Thousands of devotees were walking with the royal procession. The Paduka was worshipped by the Acharyas in the pandal and installed at the venue for three days, allowing devotees to see and touch the sacred Paduka.
