Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Following the tragic incident where several people lost their lives at Bageshwar Dham, Collector Parth Jaiswal and SP Agam Jain visited the site in Garha village on Tuesday.

They conducted a detailed inspection of the event area and issued strict instructions to ensure better safety, law and order, and crowd control.

Collector’s Instructions:

Collector Jaiswal directed the SDM to immediately start dismantling old and damaged buildings in the area to prevent further risks. He instructed officials to arrange for proper barricading, and to ensure systematic entry and exit routes for managing large crowds.

He also told the Food Safety Officer to collect food samples regularly and send them for lab testing. The Electricity Department was asked to disconnect any illegal power connections.

Shops found using low-quality or unsafe gas cylinders were ordered to be sealed immediately. The collector also inspected the main event stage and areas affected by heavy rain.

SP’s Instructions:

SP Agam Jain instructed that an adequate police force be deployed at the venue for crowd control. He also ordered that emergency exit routes be clearly marked. SDOPs were given instructions to ensure law and order during the event.

Officials also advised Bageshwar Dham representatives to use volunteers (sevadars) for crowd management and to make sure all safety arrangements are in place.
