Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav led a grand Tiranga Yatra in Gwalior on Monday, four days before Independence Day.
Citizens from across the city joined the rally, waving the national flag with pride.
During the programme, Yadav showered flower petals on children dressed as great leaders and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.
The rally was also held to celebrate the success of “Operation Sindoor” and to spread the message of service. Hundreds of vehicle riders, including bikers carrying the national flag, participated in the yatra.

Speaking at the event, Yadav said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s armed forces have shown remarkable courage by entering the enemy’s territory after the Pahalgam incident and taking strong action against terrorists.

The yatra began at 3 pm from Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Tiraha at City Centre and passed through Akashvani before reaching Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agriculture University.
Patriotic and cultural programmes were held from 2 pm onwards before the start of the rally.

Army personnel, police forces, NCC cadets, ex-servicemen, school students, public representatives, social organisations, and local citizens all took part in the event.
The entire route was decorated in the colours of the national flag. After the yatra, Yadav attended the ‘Ekatma Manav Darshan’ Diamond Jubilee programme at Dattopant Thengadi auditorium as the chief guest.
