Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh government is set to recruit 13,089 primary teachers in government schools in 2025. The recruitment process comes with a big relief for guest teachers, as the maximum age limit for applying has been increased by 9 years.
Now, men from the general category can apply up to the age of 49, and women up to 54 years. Additionally, 50% of the seats will be reserved for guest teachers.
Rules and Dates Announced for Primary Teacher Selection Exam
The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (ESB) has released the official rules and guidelines for the 2025 Primary Teacher Selection Exam.
According to the notification, there are 10,150 posts under the School Education Department and 2,939 posts under the Tribal Affairs Department.
Online applications can be submitted from 18 July to 1 August.
Corrections in the application form can be made from 18 July to 6 August.
A second correction window will open from 28 January to 16 February.
The exam is expected to start from 31 August.
Candidates who qualified in the Primary Teacher Eligibility Exams of 2020 and 2024 can appear for this selection exam.
B.Ed. Degree Holders Left Out
Only D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) and B.El.Ed. (Bachelor of Elementary Education) holders can apply.
Age Limit Relaxation for Guest Teachers
The new age limits are:
Men (General category): 49 years (previously 40 years)
Women (MP residents): 54 years (previously 45 years)
Employees of MP Corporations, Boards, or Home Guards: 45 years
Reserved category men and women: 54 years (previously 45 years)
Differently-abled candidates from MP: 54 years (previously 45 years)
The recruitment process aims to fill vacant teaching posts while giving priority to guest teachers already serving in government schools.
