Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav, on Monday, stated that the state government is committed to doubling milk production from 9% to 20%, at a review meeting held at Bhopal’s Samatva Bhavan.
He added that a state shall equally benefit from the expertise of the National Dairy Development Board. To boost milk production, there is a need to simplify and streamline the process of bringing high-yielding breeds of cows and buffaloes from other states and making them available to farmers.
In fact, a review meeting was held at Samatva Bhavan to assess the progress of initiatives taken after the agreement between the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation.
Dairy products to be exported to other states
Here, senior officials were given necessary guidelines to ensure effective implementation.
CM Yadav also talked about exporting the dairy products to other states after value addition to the products.
.At present, big cow shelter homes are being established in the state and this thing will also help in increasing the milk production.
The private universities shall also run courses related to animal husbandry.
It was informed that the National Dairy Development Board is working with the target to form Cooperative societies in minimum 50 percent villages in next five years.
