Balaghat (Madhya Pradesh): In a significant outreach effort, the district administration organised a public service camp in the remote Naxal-affected village of Palagondi on Saturday. Led by Collector Meena and IG Sanjay Singh, the camp aimed to connect with villagers and provide them essential services and benefits from 19 departments.

In all, 126 citizens from Chalisbodi, Kaveli, and Mohanpur received benefits from nine key departments. These included pension schemes (12 beneficiaries), Sambal (41), caste certificates (16), ration cards (37), agriculture seeds (9), Ayushman cards (7), Ladli Laxmi (2) and others. Health check-ups were conducted for 320 people, with 85 tested for TB using an AI-based portable X-ray machine, identifying 9 positive cases.

IG Sanjay Singh urged families to discourage involvement in Naxal activities, highlighting the state's beneficial surrender policy. Collector Meena addressed public grievances, assuring improved electricity supply within a month and completion of Jal Jeevan Mission work in three months. He also promised action on infrastructure projects like school boundary walls and hostels.

District panchayat CEO Abhishek Saraf and ASP Adarshkant Shukla were present. The camp showcased a comprehensive effort to extend government support and restore trust in remote, conflict-affected areas.
