Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh is fully drenched due to monsoon rains. On Saturday, more than 20 districts received rainfall.
According to the weather department, 17 districts from Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar, and Rewa divisions are likely to receive heavy rain on Sunday.
Light to moderate rain is also expected in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Jabalpur.

June 22 (Sunday): Orange alert for very heavy rain in Gwalior, Morena, Sheopur, Shivpuri, and Panna. These areas may receive up to 8 inches of rainfall in 24 hours. Heavy rain alert is issued for Bhind, Datia, Guna, Ashoknagar, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Sagar, Damoh, Satna, Rewa, and Mauganj. Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Jabalpur may also receive rain and strong winds.
June 23 (Monday): Red alert for very heavy rain in Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, and Sagar. Orange alert for Gwalior, Morena, Sheopur, Guna, and Panna. Heavy rain is also expected in Vidisha, Raisen, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Satna, Rewa, and Mauganj.
June 24 (Tuesday): Very heavy rain alert for Shahdol, Sagar, Guna, Ashoknagar, and Shivpuri. Fast rain likely in Gwalior, Datia, Vidisha, Raisen, Damoh, Panna, Katni, Umaria, and Anuppur. Weather changes will continue in Bhopal, Indore, and other areas.
June 25 (Wednesday): Very heavy rain is expected in Panna. Heavy rain is also likely in Guna, Ashoknagar, Sagar, Damoh, and Chhatarpur. Other parts of the state will also see weather changes.

What is causing the rain?
A low-pressure area is moving across Madhya Pradesh.
Along with that, a strong trough and cyclonic circulation are active. These systems are causing heavy to light rainfall across the state, especially in northern and eastern regions.
On Saturday, Sidhi received 2 inches of rain, while Ratlam saw over 1.25 inches. Satna had around 0.75 inches and Rewa and Khajuraho received more than 0.5 inches of rain. Rain was also reported in Bhopal, Dhar, Guna, Gwalior, Indore, Narmadapuram, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Damoh, Mandla, Nowgaon, Sagar, Umaria, and Balaghat.
