Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Congress MLAs staged walkout from Assembly on Tuesday by alleging that government is trying to protect data assistant (vaccination) Vijay Pandey who is posted in Jabalpur.
It said that higher secondary mark sheet of Pandey was fake and as district programme manager (DPM) incharge, Pandey indulged in corruption.
It was through the call attention motion that senior Congress MLA Lakhan Ghangoriya raised the issue. He said Pandey was posted as DPM incharge in Jabalpur in 2021.
In this capacity, he misappropriated crores of rupees by paying fake bills and fake rent of mobility support vehicles. During Covid 19 training programme, he indulged in corruption, MLA Ghangoriya said.

Deputy chief minister Rajendra Shukla said regional director, health services, Jabalpur division, had formed a team to investigate things related to appointment of Vijay Pandey as data assistant and his educational qualifications.
Complaints were found baseless in the probe. As far as giving charge of DPM is concerned, no norms are decided for educational qualification. As for financial irregularities, complaints against Pandey were found baseless in probe.
Ghangoriya demanded that Pandey be removed from the post and probe be ordered. Shukla said that state level probe was underway. Dissatisfied with reply, Congress MLAs staged walkout from the Assembly.
