In the eastern divisions like Jabalpur, Sagar, Shahdol, and Rewa, rainfall has been 34% above average, while western divisions including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Chambal, and Narmadapuram have seen 21% more rain than normal. Overall, the state has received 27% more rainfall than usual.
These areas have received less rain so far, with some districts getting less than 14 inches of water this season. Meanwhile, districts like Guna, Niwari, Mandla, and Tikamgarh have already received more than 45 inches of rain.
Indore district has recorded the lowest rainfall so far, followed by Barwani, Burhanpur, Khargone, and Khandwa. Ujjain division shows a similar pattern.
A strong weather system is now active over these districts, which is expected to end the drought in these regions.
