Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Distressed over being unable to conceive a baby, a woman committed slit her throat and killed herself in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur.

According to reports, a woman identified as Preeti Tiwari, was attempting to have a child since a long time. But, after multiple failed attempt she had been under immense stress and decided to taker this drastic step.

Woman commits suicide on neighbour's roof

On Wednesday, Preeti went to the neighbour's roof, armed with a sharp blade and took her life. Her family members found her in a critical state and immediately rushed her to Panagar hospital for emergency care.

Unfortunately, the doctors confirmed that she was brought critical and succumbed to her injury during her treatment.

Despite family's encouragement she took this drastic step

According to Preeti's family, Preeti was distressed since a long time as she was unable to conceive. She was encouraged by her family members but, despite all the encouragement she took this horrifying step.

Upon receiving the information of the incident, Panagar police reached the spot. The police conducted Panchnama proceedings and sent the body for post-mortem and registered a case of suicide. Panagar police is investigating the entire matter.
