Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bageshwar Dham Pandit Dhirendra Shastri has announced that he will soon begin his second padyatra (foot journey).

This time, the journey will start from Delhi and end in Vrindavan. While talking to media persons in Meerut on Thursday, he said that the purpose of this padyatra is to spread awareness among people and bring a change in their thoughts about sanatana dharma.

He explained that earlier, he had planned to travel from Vrindavan to Delhi, but after receiving blessings from saints in Vrindavan, he decided to walk from Delhi to Vrindavan instead.

Hindu Rashtra and Sanatan Dharma

During the conversation, Pandit Dhirendra Shastri also spoke about his vision for a Hindu Rashtra (Hindu Nation).

He said that in a Hindu Rashtra, Sanatan Dharma would be highly respected, and those who speak against it would face strict punishment. "Hindu Rashtra banne k baad, Sanatan Dharma par ungli uthana bohot hi nindniya hoga, aur dand ki prakriya badlegi, faansi ki saza hogi." (After the formation of a Hindu Rashtra, speaking against Sanatan Dharma will be considered a serious offense, and the punishment system will change, leading to the death penalty.)

He further mentioned that everyone will have the right to live in a Hindu Rashtra, but the primary identity will be of Hindus, just as in Islamic nations, Muslims have priority.

"Hindu Rashtra mein sabko rehne ka adhikar rahega, jaise Musalman dharm mein Musalman ko hai, waise Hindu mein Hindu ka hoga." (In a Hindu Rashtra, everyone will have the right to live, but just like in Islamic countries where Muslims have priority, in a Hindu nation, Hindus will have priority.)

He also spoke about giving special recognition to cows in a Hindu Rashtra, saying "Hindu Rashtra mein Gau Mata ko Rashtriya Mata ka darja prapt hoga." (In a Hindu Rashtra, the cow will be given the status of National Mother.)

Pandit Dhirendra Shastri said that in a Hindu Rashtra, there will be no caste-based discrimination or untouchability. He said, "Jaat-paat bhedbhav jesi chua choot ki rajnitiya band hogi." (Politics based on caste discrimination and untouchability will come to an end.) He also mentioned that life will be lived according to the teachings of Ramcharitmanas, which he believes will help in building a strong and united society.

In his message to Hindus, Pandit Dhirendra Shastri urged people to focus on quality over quantity. "Hindu se ek aur baat kahenge ki 'quantity chahe jitni bhi ho, quality badhiya honi chahiye'." (I want to tell Hindus that no matter how much quantity we have, the quality should be excellent.)
