Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A post by Madhya Pradesh Congress on X has sparked controversy, featuring a video of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav making a remark about people with disabilities.

Check out the video below :

In the video, CM Yadav is heard saying:

"Maaf karna, humare yaha kate-pitte shareer waalo ko accha maante hi nahi hai. Kya karein, yeh humari bhi samasya hai. Humare yaha toh poora shareer ho toh raja banega."

(Sorry, but in our place, we do not consider people with missing or injured body parts as good. What can we do? This is also our issue. Here, only a person with a complete body can become a king)

The Congress handle tagged PM Narendra Modi in their post, questioning whether the Chief Minister was mocking those whom the PM refers to as ‘Divyang’ (specially-abled people).

The caption of the post read:
"Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, your Chief Minister is mocking those whom you call Divyang! Will the inhumane and rude CM get a ‘notice’ for such thinking?"

The video has triggered strong reactions, with many criticising the CM’s statement as insensitive.

There has been no official response from CM Mohan Yadav or the BJP regarding the controversy.
