Background of the case
Police officials said that Nandini had married Arvind through Arya Samaj Mandir, but later discovered that he was already married and had children.
On September 9, she had lodged a complaint at the SP office, accusing Arvind of deceiving her into marriage.
She had also alleged that Arvind and another woman, Pooja, were circulating her fake obscene photos and videos on social media, and had threatened to kill her if she did not return to him.
On Friday, Arvind allegedly carried out his threats. Senior police officials and forensic teams are investigating the case, while Nandini remains in hospital fighting for her life.
