Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A mare created a ruckus at a wedding procession, causing violence and stone-pelting by the 'baraatis' in Madhya Pradesh's Morena. The incident happened after a honking car scared the mare, and it started hopping. Consequently, the groom riding the mare, too lost the balance, and had a narrow escape.
Angry, the wedding guests attacked the car and beat up the driver.
Police have registered a case against five people in connection with the incident.
According to information, the victim, 19-year-old Deepak Rathore from Harphool Vihar, Najafgarh in Delhi, had come to Morena with his father Ramesh and relatives to attend a wedding. Around 1 AM, while driving through the Islampura area in a car, Deepak honked to make way through the wedding procession heading toward Krishna Nagar.
The horn scared the groom’s mare, and seeing this, the wedding guests got angry.
Deepak tried to flee, but the crowd chased him in another vehicle, stopped his car, and started beating him.

Stones were thrown at the car, breaking all its windows. A man named Nitesh tried to rescue Deepak but was also beaten up.
Deepak later reported that his gold chain went missing during the scuffle.
Kotwali police have registered a case against Balle (son of Mayaram Rathore), Chhota (son of Suresh Rathore), Aman (son of Sanju Rathore), Shyam Sundar (son of Dauji Rathore), and one unknown person.
