Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): The Book Bank functioning in the government Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls School is proving to be extremely beneficial for students.
Following the immense success of the book fair, the decision of the district administration to regularly operate the Book Bank in the central library of MLB School has facilitated the students coming from economically weaker sections of society.
The residents are donating useful books to the Book Bank, while students are also giving books from their previous classes so that children can use them.
Yogesh Sharma, Project Coordinator of the District Education Centre donated several engineering books to the Book Bank on Tuesday.
Sharma stated that students can study these donated books and prepare for competitive exams in the central library.

It's worth noting that a separate stall for the Book Bank was set up at the book fair, organized in the Shaheed Smarak Complex, Gol Bazar, as part of collector Deepak Saxena's initiative.
The idea was for students to deposit their old class books there, and children from economically weaker families could purchase them by paying a nominal, fixed amount to the District Red Cross Society.
After the Book Bank's utility was proven at the book fair, the decision was made to operate it regularly in the central library of MLB School.
This Book Bank has started receiving useful books related to competitive exam preparations, higher and technical education, and school education.
