Bhopal: Piyush Mishra Recites Love Story Of Rivers At Nadinama

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Noted personalities including Piyush Mishra, Karan Razdan, Rajeev Verma, Annu Kapoor, Seema Kapoor, Navni Parihar, Swapnil Kothari and Santosh Chaubey from Madhya Pradesh recited poems based on rivers at an event, Nadinama, at Bharat Bhawan on Saturday. A long queue of the fans of the personalities was seen at the outside of the Antarang Hall of the Bhawan

They presented poems of well-known poets which left the audience spellbound. The poems of Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala, Maithilisharan Gupta, Makhanlal Chaturvedi, Sumitranandan Pant, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Vidyapati, Jaishankar Prasad, Agyey, Bharatendun Harishchandra, Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh, Bhavaniprasad Mishra, Kedarnath Agarwal, Nagarjun, Naresh Mehta, Jagdish Gupta, Prabhakar Machwe, Shivmangal Singh Suman, Trilochan Shastri and Girjashankar Mathur were recited.

Noted actor, singer and lyricist Piyush Mishra recited the love story of rivers through poetry, which won hearts of audience. “The river is not just water, it is a mother, a living stream of culture. When the river flows, the civilisation sings. Its stopping is not just the stopping of water, it is the silence of the music of our lives,” he said, adding, “the river should be considered a sentiment, not a resource. If poetry, songs and memories are to be saved, then first the rivers will have to be saved.”

"Where water flows, the soul resides there. Today there is a need to build a relationship with the river, not just save it. Only then will we survive,” Mishra added.

It was part of the second day of ‘Sadaneera Sammelan,’ under Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan.

Besides, a dance drama Nisabdh Bheda, directed by renowned dancer and dance coordinator Shama Bhate. This dance drama Jalchar Jagat (The World of Water) explores the aquatic creatures, their sensitivities, struggles and their existence with the environment.
