Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a follow-up to the campus rape and blackmail case involving a minor, fresh details have emerged from the victim’s recent statement to police. She alleges that on April 8, 2025, the main accused Farhan entered her Indore home, assaulted her at knife-point, and recorded the act on video.
According to the chargesheet, the girl was chatting with a friend, Vishal, when Farhan arrived at 10:00 pm, asking repeatedly to apologise. She eventually opened the door.
Once inside, Farhan allegedly brandished a knife, forced himself on her, and filmed the encounter. On Vishal’s advice, the girl called 100 emergency police helpline. Though police reached the spot, she did not file a complaint that night.

She told police that in 2022, while she was in Class 11 at a private school in Bhopal, she met Farhan through her sister, a student at a private engineering college. In 2023, Farhan allegedly took her to a rented house in Ashoka Garden, where he outraged her modesty.
Farhan continued visiting her Saket Nagar residence, making repeated physical advances and allegedly pressuring her to convert to Islam. When she resisted and threatened to inform police, Farhan reportedly used videos and photographs to blackmail her into silence.
Defence lawyer advocate Jagdish Gupta raised concerns over inconsistencies. “Despite alleging knife-point assault, she opened the door to Farhan at night and later called the police but didn’t register a formal complaint. These are contradictions that can’t be ignored,” he said.
