Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The IAS officers in the state have been waiting for the transfer list for several days. There are reports that the transfer list of IAS officers will soon be released.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Chief Secretary Anurag Jain held a meeting over the issue. As the list is yet to be finalised, the government is unable to issue it.
In some cases, formalities have been completed, but the order is pending because of lack of consensus over the transfer of a few officers.
Nearly a month has passed since the Election Commission has given its consent to appoint the member of the revenue board, Sanjay Jha, as Chief Electoral Officer in place of Sukhveer Singh.

The state government sent a panel of three IAS officers, E. Ramesh, Shobhit Jain and Sanjeev Jha, to the Election Commission. The Election Commission approved Jha’s name for the post, but the order is pending.
There are talks about appointing Singh as the principal secretary of PWD. But as the government is yet to issue an order appointing Singh as PS of PWD, Jha’s case is also pending.
Sixteen days have passed since Datia collector Sandeep Makin retired, but the government has yet to appoint someone in his place. Besides posting an officer to Datia, there are talks about transferring several collectors.
The collectors of Dhar, Jabalpur, Morena, Singrauli and some other districts are to be transferred, but a decision is yet to be taken. Some senior IAS officers are also waiting for their transfer; besides, the officers of some important departments will also be changed.
According to reports, as the date for transfer of employees is being extended, the transfer of IAS officers is pending.
