Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Before the start of the Budget session, Congress MLAs staged a protest outside the assembly on Monday morning.
They accused Madhya Pradesh government of avoiding discussions by keeping the session short, only nine days long.
Additionally, a video surfaced on social media showing the protestors with injuries. According to information, the stage on which protestors were standing collapsed due to overweight, causing injuries to approximately 10 politicians.

Congress leader Jaivardhan Singh criticised the decision, calling it an encroachment on the rights of MLAs. He demanded that the session should last at least 30 to 40 days so that MLAs get enough time to raise important issues and concerns.
Other Congress MLAs also expressed similar views and urged the government to extend the session.

During the protest, the MLAs wore black masks on their heads and carried placards to show their opposition to the short session. They insisted that a longer session is necessary for proper discussion on public issues and government policies.
The protest highlights the growing tension between the opposition and the ruling government over the limited duration of the Budget session.
Congress leaders have strongly opposed the short session, arguing that it restricts meaningful discussions on key issues affecting the public.
They have warned that they will continue to raise their voice and protest until their demand for a longer Budget session is met, ensuring that all MLAs get enough time to discuss policies, raise concerns, and debate important matters.
