Rajgarh (Madhya Pradesh): Rajgarh police have arrested three members of a notorious robbery gang operating across Bhopal and nearby districts. The accused were caught for a recent highway robbery near village Mana in Kurawar police station area.
According to police reports, on June 9-10, Balram Ruhela of Boda was robbed of his purse, mobile phone, and motorcycle by unidentified assailants. A case was registered under relevant sections, and newly appointed Superintendent of Police Amit Tolani led the operation in which a combined effort by Kurawar police and technical teams led to the identification of the accused through CCTV footage and informer tips.
The arrested individuals Bharat Silawat (26), Sunil Ahirwar (18), and Bharat Chauhan (22) are residents of Karond area in Bhopal. Police arrested them near Lakhanwas Higher Secondary School and recovered stolen goods including Rs 4,600 cash, a mobile phone, two SIM cards, the complainant’s motorcycle, and two scooters, one used in the crime and another stolen, totaling Rs 2.74 lakh in value.
Gang leader Bharat Silawat is a criminal with over a dozen cases registered against him including thefts and housebreaks in Bhopal, Berasia, Sanchi and Raisen. His gang primarily targets elderly and vulnerable individuals on highways.

Confession made
SP Amit Tolani stated, “The accused have confessed to multiple robberies. We’re investigating further and will ensure all necessary actions are taken to maintain law and order.”
Tolani further said that police were investigating in other districts too where the gang is suspected to have been active.
