Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): It has been 100 days since the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Gujarat Police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) raided a drug factory in Bagroda industrial complex, seizing MDMA drugs worth Rs 1,814 crore.

Despite the magnitude of the haul, authorities have made little headway in identifying the factory operators or tracing the supply chain. Following the October 5 raid, NCB and ATS arrested three suspects—Amit Chaturvedi, Sannyal Bane, and Harish Anjana. A fourth individual, Premsukh Patidar, was later apprehended in Mandsaur.

However, since then, no further arrests or developments have been reported, raising questions about the progress of the investigation. Sources suggest that the agencies have been unable to track the full supply chain of the drugs. While it is known that the prepared drugs were part of a larger network, investigators have yet to identify the recipients or other individuals involved in distribution.

Despite claims that a large number of people are engaged in drug trade, NCB has not managed to trace any more suspects. The investigation has also been unable to identify the suppliers of raw materials, much of which is available in the open market. However, specific chemicals used in MDMA production require buyers to show licences before purchase. Sources said that the NCB is yet to identify these suppliers or the masterminds behind the operation, and it is suspected that others, who have significant control, may be operating the factory and managing the entire drug racket

. 4 arrests so far, says public prosecutor Special Public Prosecutor Sunil Shrivastava informed Free Press that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has made four arrests in connection with the drug factory case. He also stated that the NCB is in the process of preparing the charge sheet, which will soon be presented in court.
