Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a major announcement for state employees, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday announced that state government employees will now receive 55% Dearness Allowance (DA), bringing it in line with Union government rates.

Speaking at the Madhya Pradesh Gazetted Officers Association convention, he said an additional 3% DA hike will be effective from July 2024, followed by another 2% from January 2025.

The CM said that arrears will be paid in five equal instalments between June and October 2025, offering significant financial relief to employees. During his address, Yadav also condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, calling it a "cowardly act" and warning that terrorists would be "smoked out from their holes."
