Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): Seven buffaloes died on the spot after a high-voltage electric wire fell in a field in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district on Thursday.

The incident took place in Kekhoda village of Narwar tehsil, Shivpuri district.

According to information, one more buffalo was seriously burnt in the incident. The animals belonged to farmer Surendra Gurjar and were grazing in his field when the accident happened.

Eyewitnesses said the power line suddenly fell, and the buffaloes got electrocuted immediately.

As the news spread, a large number of villagers gathered and expressed anger against the electricity department.

Locals claimed that the wire had been broken for the last four days, and they had informed the electricity officials several times, but no action was taken.
