Panna (Madhya Pradesh): A 55-year-old woman who had been missing for two days was found hanging from a tree on Monday in Panna.

The body was spotted by villagers who had gone to graze goats. They immediately informed the police.

According to information, the body was hanging from a tree in a forest near Sirswaha village under Brijpur police station limits.

The woman, identified as Jaggi Adivasi, had gone missing from her home two days earlier. Her family had been searching for her since then.

After the body was discovered, a crowd gathered at the spot and police reached the scene to take the body for postmortem.

According to the family, Jaggi had been suffering from a long illness, and police suspect it could be a case of suicide.

However, officials said they are investigating the matter from all angles and will wait for the postmortem report to confirm the exact cause of death.
